The energy of Four , sets the parameters which establish the freedoms and barriers needed in all new environment.

Kiej is the energy of realization. The physical process that creates new element in the nature.
It is the time to accomplish what is needed for subsistence, to go to hunt.
Kiej connects the four cardinal direction into potentialities like the four fingers with the thumb.

Kiej is the guardian of the nature and living entities. Sacrificed elements have to be respected and thanked to balance the universe.

Kiej also symbolizes the resistance, the physical power and the road of life. He is the four pillar of the universe, like the four legs of the deer and the horse.
Kiej is the time to prove his power, courage and resistance.

The Tzolkin Calendar describes a natural Life cycle of 260 days.

It is composed of two under cycles of 13 Tons and 20 Kins. The Tons represent the energy of development, the objective of the day and the Kins the energy of creation, the character.

Each Tons and Kins has a different purpose, the combination of all Tons and Kins gives the whole cycle duration of 260 days (13x20=260).

Like other old and modern civilizations, the Mayan believe that every thing in the universe is dual. As the light and humans, the time also is dual. It has a physical part, the course of the earth around the sun, his body and has a wave part, his spirit.

The Tzolkin describes this wave. It is the formation process of the Universal Consciousness. The one present everywhere, and in fact with no defined location.

If "Present" is pure Consciousness Time is its development process..

Time has periods of physical and non physical consciousness each giving the living entity the basic knowledge to understand the world to realize it.
The repeating of the process acts like the sun on the plants making them grow.
To simplify imagine you have a spotlight in front of your eyes, it is on around 12 hours and it is off again around 12 hours. It is showing you a message each time it is on and you record this message in your unconsciousness during the night time. There are 260 messages to learn.
In fact time is nothing else than a learning process. The development of the Universal Consciousness.

The using of the Tzolkin started some 5000 years ago, but of course the cycle existed from the beginning of all things, a long time before the existence of our solar system.

A calendar is the support you use to understand the suite of days you live.
If you follow a sun based calendar, you synchronize yourself on the materialistic part of the world, you will understand that there are seasons.
If you follow a spirit based calendar, you synchronize yourself on the spiritual part of the world, you will understand that universe has the same spirit as yours, All is One.
